Set your pricing up once
Material grades, sheet and tube rates, labour rates, and a formula per feature — the top, the undershelf, the frame. This is the part that carries your trade knowledge, and it is done with you rather than left to you.
Enter the job, not the arithmetic
Product, dimensions, grade, options, quantity. The engine resolves which formula applies to each feature, picks the right material for the grade, and prices the line — with the step-by-step working available on the line if anyone asks where a number came from.
Send it, then build it
A branded PDF and a shareable link with a 3D preview go to the customer. The bill of materials and the cutting list go to the shop. Nobody retypes anything, so nothing disagrees.

Everything between the enquiry and the shop floor
You may know this kind of system as quotation software for manufacturers, CPQ for made-to-order manufacturing, fabrication estimating software or simply a way to get off the estimating spreadsheet. A pricing engine you own
Formulas are ordered steps over your dimensions, material rates and labour codes — readable, testable, and editable without a developer. No arbitrary code ever runs: expressions are parsed and whitelisted, so a formula cannot do anything but arithmetic.
Grades that change the price
202, 304, 316 and whatever else you stock. Pick the grade on the quotation and the right sheet and tube are resolved from your rate master and priced through, rather than the grade being a label printed on an unchanged number.
Rates in one place

Revisions keep their own numbering and history, approval can be required or switched off entirely, and every status change is logged with who did it and why.

What is quotation software for fabrication?
It is the system a made-to-order manufacturer uses to turn an enquiry into a priced quotation without rebuilding the arithmetic each time. You enter the job — dimensions, material grade, options, quantity — and the shop's own pricing formulas produce the number, the same way every time, for every estimator. Quotation Twin does that, and then carries the same job through to a branded PDF, a link the customer opens on a phone, a bill of materials and a cutting list.
How is this different from a catalogue or design tool?
A catalogue tool makes you choose from somebody else's parts at somebody else's prices, and a design tool asks you to draw the job before it will price it. Neither describes a fabrication shop, where every job is a different size and the price comes from your sheet rate, your gauge, your labour rate and your margin. Quotation Twin holds those as formulas you own and edit, so the number that comes out is a number you would actually quote.
Do I have to re-enter my price list?
The material and labour rates go in once, as a rate master — grade, group, item, rate, unit. After that a rate change is one edit and every future quotation reflects it. The pricing formulas are set up with you during onboarding, because that is the part that carries your trade knowledge and it has to be right rather than fast.
Does changing the steel grade actually change the price?
Yes, and that is the point. Pick 202, 304 or 316 on the quotation and the engine resolves the right sheet and tube for that grade out of your rate master and reprices every line from it. On the demo data, one 72 x 30 inch work table with an undershelf comes to ₹12,622 in 202, ₹18,070 in 304 and ₹23,977 in 316 — same table, same formulas, three grades.
What does the customer receive?
A branded PDF on your letterhead with your terms, and — if you want it — a link that opens the same quotation in a browser with a to-scale 3D preview of the piece. No login, no app. The link can be turned off per quotation.
What does Quotation Twin cost?
₹10 per quotation sent (about $0.11). You pay for quotations that go out, not for seats, so a two-person workshop and a forty-person shop are charged for the same thing: the work they actually put out. Building, revising and pricing a quotation costs nothing.
Does it handle GST and Indian paperwork?
Yes. CGST and SGST or IGST at your rates, discounts as a percentage or a fixed amount, and transport, installation and commissioning charges that fall inside the tax base rather than being bolted on after it. Quotation numbers follow your own prefix and financial-year sequence, and an approved quotation can be exported to Tally.
What does the shop floor get out of it?
The same priced quotation produces a bill of materials — what steel and hardware the job consumes, aggregated across every line — and a cutting list that nests the sheet pieces onto standard sheets and tells you how many to buy. Both come from the quotation you already built, so the shop is working from the numbers the customer was quoted.
