What is different for a US shop
The engine is the same. The units and the paperwork are yours.
Inches, feet and gauge
Dimensions are collected in inches, and the whole system was built that way — the Indian shops it runs in quote in inches too. Millimetres are available per quotation for anyone who wants them.
Your own steel prices
Rates are entered per pound or per sheet in whatever unit you buy, with the conversion factor that turns a size into a weight. Nothing about the engine assumes an Indian price list; it assumes yours.
Dollars on the quotation
Currency is a company setting — USD, CAD, GBP, EUR, AED and others — and it drives the quotation, the PDF, the shared link and the reports.
Sales tax rather than GST
The tax fields on a quotation are yours to set. What is India-specific today is the Tally export and the default terms templates, which are swapped for US ones during setup.
Where it sits
Not a catalogue, and not a design tool
The software US kitchen shops already know is built around manufacturer catalogues and drawings. That is a different job from pricing the stainless you cut yourself.

Questions a US shop asks first
Is Quotation Twin usable in the United States today?
The quoting is: dimensions in inches, your own material and labour rates, your own formulas, and quotations in dollars. What is still India-specific is the Tally accounting export and the stock terms templates, which are replaced during setup. There is no US customer yet — the live production user is a commercial-kitchen fabricator in India — and we would rather say that than imply otherwise.
How does this compare with Specifi?
Specifi is a design-and-catalogue tool: it couples CAD with quoting and sells manufacturer eCatalogs, which is the right answer if most of what you sell is equipment somebody else makes. Quotation Twin prices the things you fabricate yourself, from your own formulas, without a drawing. Shops that do both often need both.
What does it cost in dollars?
$0.11 per quotation sent — converted from ₹10 at a fixed rate of 88 rather than a live one. There is no per-seat charge and no minimum, so a shop sending sixty quotations a month pays about $6.82.
Where is our data held?
On our own servers, in a tenant that belongs to your business alone. Every record carries the company it belongs to and every query is filtered by it; signing in takes a company code as well as a username.
